Scamsites
scam
Scams are understandably the most deterring part of the internet for the honest who want to make pocket money or an income working from home via their computer. When you have finished you will be better prepared to spot a scam rather than be armed with a little list with little information as to why they are a scams and on the other token some of these lists can be very damaging to legitimate companies and a lot of scam sites won't even end up on these lists because they're here today and gone tomorrow.

First a list of things you should FULLY understand before you join and/or give over your hard earned cash.

  1. Read the Terms and Conditions thoroughly, and be sure you fully understand exactly what you are doing BEFORE you commit. If you don't understand, you don't have the time or your just unsure - THEN STAY AWAY until you do.
  2. Be sure you understand the payment agreements. If you have to upgrade to get your earnings, then take this into account. If you have to read a certain amount of emails, click or whatever - know exactly how to earn and how to collect.
  3. Try not to launch sites from within your email program, as some scammers send you to a scam site built to look exactly like the same site you joined but it's not. It is much safer to get to your site through your bookmarks in your browser.
  4. DON'T be overwhelmed by the carrots dangled in front of you. In the beginning I read the conditions and when I started earning, the $$$ got the better of me and I made some foolish mistakes - remember, greed is no good. Some companies market this way so we accidentally don't follow the rules and they get free advertising.
  5. Make sure when you sign up that they pay internationally or they are based in Australia before committing and wasting your and their time and effort.
  6. If you want to join a site but a are still unsure - join our forum. This is where you can talk to real people like you and me that have experience in many area of these industries. You will learn things much quicker and can be warned or told about certain sites you wish to join beforehand and people will share their knowledge in good, safe sites to.
  7. If you are only allowed one account, then only join for one account. They will find out and shut you down.
  8. Look for sites that have international seals of approval, and check the companies of the seals to learn more about what seals are and what they stand for. One company is BBBonline.
  9. Don't ever put money into ANYTHING you cant afford. If you want to see of something works - THEN START SMALL. Losing $4 is much better than losing $4,000.
  10. Don't trust ANYTHING or ANYONE until they or you can validate their claims. Do your research and you will be much better off.

Some Examples

Upon reading the Terms and Conditions it became pretty obvious how some one could easily be stung by some companies. Take some rather large payout paid to read email companies for example It states that email boxes must be maintained with the original member application details, that if the mail box becomes full or there is more than one account for the same company within the house hold, you will be immediately terminated, and may never be allowed to join again. Well, when I first started out I told myself to be aware of the many carrots that are on the net and when I came across these sites I became a little overwhelmed by the amounts of money I seen they paid us - and thought scam but further investigations tell me members who had joined had been terminated without notice and the company will not reply to my calls and emails and have lost the money I made. I wonder if these people kept the emails from clogging their inbox, because there is an inbox in the email address you used to join, and another inbox within the program itself, and if the emails are read and deleted from their own email address account, the inbox of the program joined will not be deleted  and therefore it will build up very quickly, we get on average 40-50 plus emails a day with just two companies, and it can be time consuming removing and clicking these emails from 3 inboxes and of course once they fill - YOU ARE TERMINATED immediately, forfeiting and earnings.

Another example is paid to surf companies. Some sites state that you can earn money from surfing with a free account, as they lend you the money, but in order for you to collect, you have to buy an upgrade. If we paid a little more attention to the writing than the $$$$$ we would not have wasted a month surfing only to find we need to spend money to get the money we just wasted our time earning.

And another is paid surveys. I have had many discussions on this subject and understand how the industry could be labeled scammers. First it takes 2 months to set up your account, check your demography information, build a profile and in the meantime we get small extra profile builders to help them to administer their services accurately. Then if we are a male we will miss out on 50% of some survey companies because there's not much point a male answering a female survey. Next some companies you join will allow you to sign up, but after completing a few surveys and you try to claim your money or prize you find out (if in Australia, like me) that you MUST be a United States resident therefore wasting time and meaning we forfeit what we made.
I could go on and on but you get the message, check EVERYTHING BEFORE COMMITTING your time or money - do this and you will be rewarded.
With just these example above you can see why its so important to understand EVERYTHING about the particular company we join, how to earn money and more importantly how to collect. Once these are established, we can feel more confident that we aren't wasting our time and we know we will be paid at the end of the day.

WORLD WEB HOSTERS SCAM ALERT

If you have a website account with World Web Hosters then you'll know what how much of a scam they are. My Fiancé has a website with them that's being (or was) being hosted with them. I originally had this web site with them but found their service to be at best undesirable hence I changed to my knew hosters and they're great. We haven't been able to show here web page since about February and upon trying to find out what was happening I emailed them. After two weeks I had not received anything from them. I tried again to no avail. I then went to their web site and hit the "Contact Us" link, only to be taken to another web site called Zosee.com. At the bottom of World Web Hosters main page I read how they had "SOLD" world web hosters and had "Closed their doors". Great, not even an email. I emailed Zosee and was told that they had no authority to use them and they were by no means affiliated with world web hosters. I sent them another email stating that EVERY link on world web hosters site pointed to them (Zosee). I also did a WHOIS search on world web hosters and originally found who leased the name "world web hosters". Upon searching today, the information is no longer there, but world web hosters is not for sale as it is registered. I have now contacted several authorities concerning world web hosters and now play the waiting game. I have not been able to upload anything to my fiancés site since January this year, as I maintain it for her. So we have paid for a 12 month service that lasted only 2 months. There communication was always slack as I=it always took a week to hear from them. I will provide more information when it comes to light. I want my fiancés web site shown, or I want our money back.

BE WARNED

Have YOU been scammed? Ripped off? Not paid?

When it comes to the internet these companies THINK they can walk all over us because the internet watchdogs can't do anything about these sites. Well it comes back to the power of the people. It's the old David V's Goliath all over again, except the more we are, the more POWERFUL we become, as thousands become one - THEY MUST LISTEN AND TAKE HEED.
I wish to recover lost monies that I have lost and that you have lost, recover monies earned through following their rules, terms and conditions and shut them down once and for all and have them listed so they cannot simply start a new scam.

Here are a couple of sites you need to visit to lodge a formal complaint. They are internet regulators that include the F.B.I.
I was going to create a database here to collate information but I believe it would be better if you lodged a formal complaint especially with IC3 - the Internet Crime Complaint Centre at the following address.

IC3
