Let me introduce myself. I'm one of those "nuts" you hear about that thinks you can make money from the internet. Well, nuts or not, you can make money.
I have been building and using computers for many years now, all with the aim of one day starting my own computer technician company that designed, built, repaired and maintained computers and severs - with small to very large networks systems for many various companies that exist today.
Then, one day I was building a clients system when I remembered a quote I had heard earlier that day, and it all made sense. The quote I heard was "In the future there will be two types of business's - Online business and out of business". I think it may have been Bill Gates, but don't "Quote" me. This led me to thinking that I needed to look at other ways of earning a living and decided my future business would have to be online. For this IS the way of the future.
I spent many months first researching the myriad of ways I can earn money on the internet before I actually handed over ANY of my hard earned cash. Researching showed me some of the money making techniques going on were obvious Scams while some were harder to spot. Of course I lost money in some "Paid to " scams, but it taught me one thing quickly - DO YOUR RESEARCH CAREFULLY and read the "Terms and Conditions VERY carefully to make sure you understand exactly what will happen when you join, how the money is made and how you get paid.
I studied many different ways to actually make REAL money online, to the point of being able to give away my job and make quite a comfortable living working from the comfort of my own home - with just my computer and an internet connection and a coffee.
After a few years of getting to know the "Paid to" industry, it became pretty clear that what I needed was a web site that I could go to that would have ALL the relevant in formation that I was researching, but also a web site where the owner had been PERSONALLY involved with many of the internet based companies and know that at one time or another they had won and lost money and not just a "Referral" page or advertisement. Having all the in formation in front of you within one web site would then give me a little more confidence to make informed, calculated risks by just understanding the risks that are involved and learning to spot a scam. One thing I learnt very quick was if you are unsure, and it doesn't quite make sense, then it probably doesn't. And also the web site needed to give me the current information, tax and legal requirements and a healthy listing that I could peruse and join at my leisure and feel comfortable doing this.
If there's one piece of advice I could give to the fellow internet money junkie is to be sure you have read and UNDERSTOOD fully, the terms and conditions BEFORE you sign anything.
Joining some good topic discussions on making money through the internet is a great way to be able to learn and quickly identify a scam. The more research you do, the safer you are.
